A data room is an organised set of documents that lets an investor check your company’s claims. It can be as simple as a well-named folder.
The usual sections
Company records and ownership, cap table, contracts, IP evidence, compliance records, financials and model, product and security documents, and people and policies.
Consistency matters
The deck, the model and the documents should tell the same story. Mismatches are the quickest way to lose trust.
